As i said before in my other post the New gen tent was so cool with little tiny shops for each label down each side. When you first came in was everyones mood boards showing their inspirations for their collection.

Some of my favourites were Louise Gray of course, so colourful and textured.

As well as a young label by the name of Palmer//Harding. Palmer//Harding aims to infuse emotion finesse and confidence into design, and design pieces that don’t distract from the wearers natural style, grace and beauty but complement them while still making a statement. Trying to avoid all of the traditional design clichés of what a shirt has to be while still maintaining a respect for what is required in a shirt.

That is my kind of design.

Dominique Lucas

One designer I met showing at LFW for the first time was Dominque Lucas. Her work is amazing! Specialising in fine jewellery she has so many great pieces but what really caught my eye was her footwear adornment.

London Fashion Week Exhibition

So on Tuesday my BF and I were lucky enough to get 2 passes to the London Fashion Week exhibition at Sommerset house as this season I worked for local label Clemency London doing pattern cutting. The Clemency collection turned out amazing as I knew it would and it was great to see it all displayed with the lookbook and everything. Alison Clemency-Buddenhagen is such a talented designer and it really shows through with the way she puts her collection together each season. We then went for a wander and checked out all the other labels new season collections which was good fun. So many amazing pieces I just wanted to buy right there and then!

Me! with the Clemency display wearing H&M metallic sweater, Supre’ shirt, Sass & Bide jeans, Kurt Geiger boots.

Gav standing inside the Topshop New Gen area which was pretty cool, each designer had their own little tiny shop

More about Topshop New Gen here

I wish I got to attend some of the fashion shows, maybe next year but it was great seeing everyone’s pieces up close and personal and speaking to all the newer designers exhibiting for the first time. Stay tuned for some more posts on different labels I discovered over the day.

Worth a Look

Carine Roitfeld’s book, Irreverent. It’s out October 18th.

‘It’s filled with 250 tear sheets and covers from Vogue and other magazines, not to mention almost as many personal photographs, including one snapshot of the former editor in nothing but a black G-string and white pumps’.
